Amazing release. The Royal Albert Hall show could've been a remaster in and of itself

The Remix Version of Stage Fright is Fantastic! It's gives these wonderful tracks a new life, not your run of the mill remixes at all! The Live Albert Hall Performances and Recordings are Great especially considering these were done in 1971, the vocals are present the instruments balanced and this is how The Band played and sounded in 1971 as I sat with Michael Bloomfield and Art Garfunkel at Wolman Skating Rink in NYC and saw them live on this tour for the first of many times! I'm so glad I got this great CD set to hear my dear beloved friends, heroes and mentors again!

I have the original Stage Fright Vinyl in 1971, bought the CD in 2000 so I was anxious to purchase. I am a thorough Band fan. I have other live recordings by the Band but the Royal Albert Hall that is included is one of the best. The set list has all their early recordings but better because they are live. Garth Hudson's contributions come through including his saxophone work. A class act all the way around.

Have only listened to Disc 2, the live show from Royal Albert Hall, and all I can say is that the band was on fire that night in June 1971. I have two other live recording releases (Academy of Music (re-release of Rock of Ages) and The Last Waltz) and the Royal Albert Hall performance, in my opinion is the best of the three. At Royal Albert Hall they jumped on it from the first note and didn't let up on the gas until the show ended. Two thumbs up. I highly recommend purchasing the Stage Fright 50th Anniversary release even for this live recording alone.
